Rounsevelle W. Schaum

ROUNSEVELLE W. SCHAUM was appointed to the Board of Directors in March 2000. Since 1993, Mr. Shaum has served as Chairman of Newport Capital Partners, Inc., an investment-banking firm, specializing in the private placement of equity and convertible debt securities. In such capacity, Mr. Schaum has directed and organized over thirty private equity placements and served on the board of directors of numerous public and private emerging growth companies. Prior to 1993, Mr. Schaum has held senior management positions with international manufacturing companies. He also served as the Chairman of the California Small Business Development Corporation, a private venture capital syndicate, and was the founder of the Center of Management Sciences, a management-consulting firm that services multinational high technology companies and government agencies, including NASA and the Department of Defense.
